Participation should be voluntary
Do not use invitations, deadlines, results or screenshots to pressure someone into giving up property, taking on work or accepting a decision. A suggested split is not consent and is never a legal determination.
Keep sensitive information out
Only add what is needed to organise the practical decision. Avoid addresses, financial information, identity documents, medical records, intimate images and information about children unless strictly necessary and appropriately authorised.
Bring in the right person
Use a qualified professional for legal ownership, valuation, financial, medical, safeguarding or high-conflict decisions. Fairly Sorted organises information and preferences; it does not resolve those questions.

Do not rely on this service for emergency help. Contact the appropriate emergency, safeguarding, legal or specialist support service in your location.
Report misuse
If Fairly Sorted is being used to harass, deceive or pressure someone, send a concise report without reproducing unnecessary sensitive material.
