Acceptable use

Only create a list, invite people and upload media where you have the authority to do so. Ask before adding someone else’s personal information, belongings or images.

Do not use Fairly Sorted to harass, threaten, deceive, discriminate against or pressure another person. Do not use it to make legal, financial, medical or professional decisions that require qualified advice.

• Do not upload unlawful, abusive or exploitative material
• Do not upload material you do not have the right to share
• Do not attempt to access another person’s list, account or media
• Do not probe, overload, scrape or bypass service safeguards

Use images and walkthroughs only for a list you are entitled to organise. Avoid uploading unnecessary sensitive information. Photo suggestions must be reviewed; they are not guaranteed to identify every item correctly.

Do not use invitations, deadlines, scores, exports or results to pressure another person into accepting a decision. Do not use Fairly Sorted as an emergency, safeguarding, valuation or legal decision service.

Use Contact to report misuse, a safety concern or a security issue. Do not reproduce unnecessary sensitive material or access another person’s account while investigating.

We may restrict or remove access, lists or content where we reasonably believe this policy or the terms have been breached, or where doing so is needed to protect users or the service.
